  With the popularity of litigation today, companies need to protect themselves.  One of the most difficult things to control is employee behavior.  Companies pay out millions of dollars each year due to law suits related to work place harassment.  You can protect yourself from liability by educating your staff about what constitutes harassment, and by having a zero tolerance policy.

    By making this training mandatory, it limits your liability from staff who will claim a misunderstanding of the concept of harassment.  If staff are educated and policies are enforced, corporate liability is greatly reduced or eliminated.

    Training includes verbal presentations, audience participation, and preprinted handouts for participants to keep for reference.  Medical Inservices staff can also assist in writing a no tolerance policy regarding harassment.
